The Graffer costume is made after an old blue costume
from the 17th century. It was found on the farm Graffer in Lom in
Gudbrandsdalen. The first version of the costume was either completely blue or
black with embroidery on the skirt, vest, purse and hat. The Graffer family
designed the costume in 1952 the way it looks now. The vest is made of red
cotton/ viscose.
The skirt, purse and hat are made of blue wool fabrics with colorful embroideries in wool.
The Costume is used on the National Day, weddings,
confirmations and Baptists.
